Prepare your source text

Choose a short chapter you have permission to use. 2novel organizes work into books and chapters; each chapter has its own source, translation and status.

  1. Sign in with Google to create an account. Password sign-in works only after you set a password in Profile.
  2. In My books, create a book, give it a name and choose the source and target languages.
  3. Check the language pair before adding more chapters. Your interface language does not determine the translation language.

Add a chapter

Open Add chapter inside your book to paste text or upload TXT, Word or PDF files. Read the imported source to catch missing content, broken characters or incorrect line breaks.

  1. For pasted text, enter the chapter content and save.
  2. For uploads, choose the starting chapter number, then select files. Multiple files receive consecutive numbers in filename order.
  3. Open the imported chapter and check its title, order and source text.

Try one chapter

Use the system AI provider when available, or connect your own provider if your workspace has that capability. You do not need a fallback provider for your first test.

  1. Open the chapter and choose Translate this chapter.
  2. Review the AI provider, chapter selection and cost information shown before confirming.
  3. Follow the queue and chapter status. Waiting does not mean failed; avoid submitting the same chapter repeatedly.

Review before translating a batch

Compare character names, forms of address and meaning against the source. AI can make mistakes or omit text; a completed chapter still needs your review.

  1. Edit the translation and Save. On a phone, use the controls above the text to switch between Source and Translation.
  2. If a result needs review, open its review details before applying it.
  3. Once the translation approach looks right, select the next chapters to translate together.
