Use the ChatGPT extension

ChatGPT connects through a relay extension in a desktop browser. Open Settings → Connect AI providers → ChatGPT for the current installation and pairing steps.

1. Install the extension from the link in the panel. For manual installation, follow the instructions shown there.
2. Sign in to ChatGPT in the same browser where the extension is installed.
3. Create a pairing code in 2novel, enter it in the extension and wait for the connection status to update.
4. Give the device a recognizable name so you can distinguish paired browsers.

Paired and online are different states. Keep the browser and extension running, check that ChatGPT is signed in, then select ChatGPT in Models for each step when you want to use it.

1. Offline: reopen the paired browser and check the extension.
2. Signed out: sign back in to ChatGPT in that same browser.
3. Error shown: read the suggested action before retrying the chapter.

Settings → ChatGPT extension pace controls rest periods for the workspace. Choices save immediately; only an authorized manager can change them.

1. Start with Safe mode.
2. Fast shortens rest periods; Very fast removes hourly rest periods.
3. Read the timing notice in the panel. A rest period already in progress may continue.

Rename devices when needed. Your device name is separate from the ChatGPT account detected by the extension. Revoke a browser you no longer use, and check the remaining connection before translating again.
