Translate & edit

Translate batches and edit chapters

Work across chapters while keeping control of scope and your edits.

On this page
  1. Select the right chapters
  2. Compare and save your edits
  3. Distinguish translations from review candidates
  4. Recover a failed chapter

Select the right chapters

Use checkboxes in the chapter list to define the scope. The translation action shows the selected count. Use Translate this chapter for the chapter you are currently reading.

  1. Check chapter order and source text before selecting a batch.
  2. Review the AI provider, scope and displayed costs in the confirmation step.
  3. Follow progress in the queue or Translation log. Queued, running, needs-review and failed chapters require different actions.

Compare and save your edits

On wider screens, source and translation sit side by side. On a phone, switch panes to read each version. Open Details for provider and run information.

  1. Edit the translation to correct names, phrasing or meaning.
  2. Choose Save and wait for success. If saving fails, keep the chapter open, check your connection and retry.
  3. When navigating with unsaved edits, keep editing to preserve your draft; discard only when you are ready to lose those changes.

Distinguish translations from review candidates

A run can produce a candidate that needs review instead of immediately replacing the translation. Read the result, compare it with the source and decide whether to apply it. Review proposed changes to names and context separately.

Recover a failed chapter

Read the error on the affected chapter. Check the provider, balance or extension as indicated, then retry those chapters. If source or translation changed during a run, open the latest chapter and compare before applying an older result.
