Book Bible: names and context

The Book Bible holds book-specific context such as characters, terminology and forms of address. Open it from the book to check recurring names before a larger batch.

  1. Prioritize frequently recurring characters, places and terms.
  2. Read a proposal’s evidence or context before approving it.
  3. Check for conflicts with existing entries instead of accepting all proposals at once.

Editorial memory: learn from your edits

When available for your book, editorial memory records choices that help later translations. Review suggestions so a change appropriate for one sentence does not become an unsuitable rule for the whole story.

Style samples: start with reviewed work

Choose a passage or chapter that reflects the quality you want. A useful sample demonstrates narrative voice, sentence rhythm and forms of address; a flawed sample carries flawed choices forward.

  1. Open the book’s style section and use the available options.
  2. Approve the sample after comparing it with the source.
  3. Try another chapter and review the result before translating a larger batch.
