Terms of Use

2Novel is an AI-assisted tool for long-form fiction: upload books, manage chapters, translate, edit, export files and share through links.

2Novel is not a publisher, does not own content you upload, does not screen it in advance and does not verify copyright on your behalf.

Using the service means you agree to these terms and the accompanying Privacy Policy.

• Accounts are created through Google. You may set a separate password in Profile to sign in again; password signup is not available. You must be at least 16 years old or have a guardian’s consent.
• One account per person; do not share sign-in access.
• You are responsible for activity under your account, including translation costs.
• Each account belongs to a workspace. Invitations and member limits depend on the plan shown on Pricing. Members work on shared books and costs come from the shared balance; invite only people you trust.
• You can request account deletion in Settings. Before committing deletion, the server checks for retained provider billing evidence. If potential external billing needs review, it pauses deletion and keeps your account and data available for billing-portal or support recovery. A completed deletion removes the associated data and cannot be undone.
• Deleting your account does not cancel renewal with an external payment provider. Manage renewal in the customer portal when available, then contact support to request deletion. A local canceled or expired plan may still require review; the safeguard does not cancel a subscription or issue a refund.

2Novel translation usage is charged by source-text character count, not by chapter. Current plan prices, benefits and usage rates are published on Pricing; review the quote and payment details before confirming.

• Each workspace receives monthly trial credit. Gifted credit cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Plan fees, 2Novel translation usage fees and AI-provider fees are separate. BYOK access and rates depend on your current plan; when using your own key, you pay your AI provider under its terms.
• Balance-funded plans are charged and renewed from your balance at the displayed interval. International Polar subscriptions are charged periodically by the payment provider under the checkout terms, not from your 2Novel wallet. Choose Free to stop renewal of a balance-funded plan; for a Polar-managed subscription, open the customer portal from plan management to cancel renewal. Check the confirmation and period-end date after cancellation.
• Costs are deducted before each chapter starts translating. If the balance runs out, remaining chapters are not started and are marked as insufficient funds; top up and submit them again to retry.
• Domestic balance top-ups use SePay; international payments use Polar when available. A recurring plan payment is not a translation-balance top-up. If money was taken but your plan or balance has not updated, contact us with your receipt or transaction reference.
• Your balance pays for translation services. It is not a deposit, earns no interest and cannot be converted back to cash except in the cases in section 4.

Prices may change. Changes adverse to you will be announced at least 7 days in advance and will not apply retroactively to balance already topped up.

Principle: you pay only for chapters that actually finish translating.

• A failed chapter is automatically refunded to your balance for the exact amount deducted. Tell us if the refund has not appeared after 24 hours.
• If you cancel a waiting chapter, the amount deducted is also refunded. Completed chapters are not refunded.
• Duplicate charges for the same chapter, or charges for a chapter that did not run, are fully refunded after reconciliation.
• We do not refund a successfully created translation because you dislike its style or consistency. Try a few chapters before running a large batch.
• The Pro plan fee for the current period is not refunded proportionally when you downgrade partway through. The plan remains effective until the end of the period.

For refunds outside the automatic cases, send your request within 30 days of the transaction, including its reference, time and amount.

A chapter refund to your 2Novel balance is not a refund to your card or bank account, and does not refund AI fees charged by your own provider. For provider plan-payment problems, send your receipt to support for reconciliation.

• You retain all rights to the source work. 2Novel claims no ownership and processes content only as needed to serve you.
• You confirm that you are the author or rights holder, have permission, or that the work is in the public domain. You are responsible if this is not the case.
• The translation belongs to you to the extent of your rights in the original. A translation is a derivative work: owning a translation does not make publication lawful if you lack rights in the original.
• A share link creates a public reading page. Anyone with the link can read without signing in. Enable it only if you have the right to publish. You can revoke it at any time; current readers immediately lose access.
• On receiving a substantiated copyright complaint, we may remove the share link immediately and notify you afterward.

• Content that violates Vietnamese law, including threats to national security, incitement to violence or hatred, child sexual abuse material, and violations of others’ privacy or reputation.
• Infringing another person’s intellectual property (see section 5).
• Attacking, scanning, exploiting vulnerabilities or creating abnormal load that disrupts the service.
• Bypassing technical limits, creating automated accounts or abusing gifted credit through multiple accounts.
• Using someone else’s account or API key.
• Reselling or repackaging the service under another brand without an agreement.

AI translations may distort meaning, omit text, translate names inconsistently or add content absent from the original. 2Novel provides tools to reduce errors, including glossaries, post-processing and editing, but does not guarantee perfect accuracy.

You are responsible for reviewing translations before publishing or commercial use. The service is provided “as is”, without a guarantee of continuous availability or freedom from errors.

To the extent permitted by law, 2Novel’s total liability does not exceed the amount you paid in the 6 months before the claim arose, and excludes indirect losses such as lost profit or reputation.

• You can stop using the service or request account deletion without giving a reason. A server billing safeguard may pause deletion when retained provider evidence needs review; stopping use or deleting your account does not automatically cancel renewal with an external payment provider.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, especially sections 5 and 6, or when lawfully required by a competent authority.
• Except for serious breaches, we will give advance notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
• On termination, balance topped up with real money is refunded on request, unless termination was for a breach. Gifted credit is not refunded.
• Export translations first. Deleted data cannot be restored.

These terms are governed by Vietnamese law. For a dispute, first contact [email protected]. If no agreement is reached within 30 days, the dispute goes to a competent court in Vietnam.

If one provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Updates take effect from the date published at the top of the page; continuing to use the service after that date means accepting the update.
